Important Dates for the 2024 Summer HBJG Program:

January 9 Tryout times and dates to register on HBSands.org

February 5-18 Returning HBJG registration open on HBSands.org

May 3 Financial Aid applications due for 2024 Junior Lifeguard Program

May/June Uniform purchase at HSS, exact days and times TBA

June 24 Session 1 Sand Crabs starts

July 12 Picture Day and Hot Dog BBQ

July 22 Session 2 Sand Crabs starts

August 9 End of Summer Ceremony at Central Park

HBJG and Sand Crab Swim Test/Tryout Open

The registration for the Huntington Beach Junior Lifeguard and Sand Crab swim test/tryout is open on HBSands.org. You can use "Marine Safety Education" to navigate to either Junior Lifeguard and Sand Crabs. If you have any questions, please call us at 714-374-1501 or email us at juniorguard@surfcity-hb.org. This is only for new participants. Returning HBJGs will get more information next week.
