We have a new HB Sands website. It is fast and easy to use. First and foremost, everyone must create a new account. The only exception is those who received an email on Tuesday, February 21. Registration for any of our city programs opens March 7, 2023. We recently had an upgrade to our recreation registration system. Your old account will no longer exist because of the switch, so we are encouraging new families to create an account on www.HBSands.org.
Here is a timeline for the launch of the new system:
February 22, 2023 - HBSands.org opens to create a new account and add family members
March 7, 2023 - register for any of the city programs
Helpful hint: Marine Safety Education tab is red and will have all of our programs, including Junior Lifeguards, Sand Crabs, and CPR.
Please note that all Sand Crabs (new and returning) along with future HBJGs must register for a swim test. Also, returning families will receive an email from Community Services regarding their process.

Summer is almost here! Our website is updated with the current 2023 information. For those families interested in spending three weeks of the summer with us, please note that Sand Crabs require an official tryout at one of the two tryouts offered. We are working though a new registration system. The plan is to have a soft launch so families can create accounts. Then the system will open for class registration.
Here are some important dates:
Week of February 20: Create an account on www.HBSands.org.
March 7: Registration opens on www.HBSands.org.
April 2: First afternoon tryout for Sand Crabs at Golden West College Pool. Registration is required.
April 16: Last afternoon tryout for Sand Crabs at Golden West College Pool. Registration is required.
May 10: Last day to register for the summer class. One session per participant.
June 26: First day of Sand Crabs Session One.
July 13: Last day of Sand Crabs Session One.
July 24: First day of Sand Crabs Session Two.
August 10: Last day of Sand Crabs Session Two.
