2021 Tryout Updates

In an effort to provide a larger area for social distancing and to reduce crowd issues, the weekend tryout dates have been moved from the Pacific Sands Cabana Club pool, to the Golden West College pool.

Location Change for the Following Tryout Dates :

Saturday, April 10 (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)- Golden West College Saturday, April 24 (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)- Golden West College Sunday, May 16 (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)- Golden West College

The weekday tryouts on Wednesday, May 5 and Wednesday, June 9 will remain at the Pacific Sands Cabana Club. Wednesday, May 5 (6:30 PM- 8:30 PM)- Pacific Sands Cabana Club Wednesday, June 9 (6:30 PM- 8:30 PM)- Pacific Sand Cabana Club

Reminder - You do not need to sign up ahead for tryouts. You will be able to register once your child successfully passes all requirements.

PLEASE PRINT AND FILL OUT THE TRYOUT FORM PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT TRYOUTS. THIS WILL EXPEDITE TRYOUTS.

Post Summer Announcements

Junior Lifeguard Families, Here is some information regarding our status during the off-season and next year: Beginning Tuesday, September 8th our off-season hours will be Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 – 5:30 PM.  We will not have regular hours until that time.  If you plan on coming in, please call ahead of time to make sure we are not at lifeguard headquarters.  Our office line is 714 374-1501.  We will have graduation certificates available for pickup. Regarding our timeline for next year’s program, each of you will receive a complimentary junior lifeguard calendar in December with tentative dates including tryouts for new junior guards as well as uniform pickup that occurs in June.  Remember, returning junior guards do not need to tryout again.  We will continue updating our website, however this is an ongoing process and occurs slowly so please be patient as we begin confirming dates for our various activities.  As of now, we are tentatively planning on beginning our program on Monday, June 28, 2021 and ending on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
