On Friday, July 16, the Huntington Beach Fire Department Junior Lifeguard Program will host the annual Hot Dog BBQ and Junior Lifeguard Picture Day. There is a special schedule with all groups (both AM and PM combined) on Friday, July 16. Please make sure that your junior lifeguard brings the order form for the group/panorama photo along with the payment before July 16. Please have them give the form to their instructor. The group times are as follows: Group “C” 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Group “B” 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Group “A” 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The Hot Dog BBQ 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with buddy pictures taken from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please bring the buddy picture envelope with payment when you have your picture taken. Our pictures are taken by the professional photography company, Mint Photography, (949)233-4118. All Junior Lifeguards are expected to wear their clean Junior Lifeguard uniform to the morning session. Uniforms are not required at the BBQ. This event is a highlight of our summer season with many JG families and City VIPs in attendance. Attendance at the BBQ is not mandatory. In addition, we are asking that each Junior Lifeguard family brings a dessert large enough to feed 12 people. Hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be provided by the HBFD Junior Lifeguard Program.
