A Dive Trip Closing Date

Hi A Group Parents,

This is a reminder that the "A" Dive Trip closes at 6 p.m., July 12. 2021. If you miss the registration window, then you will not be able to attend a dive trip. Please sign up for a trip using the link on the homepage, www.juniorguard.com. After that date, you will have to talk to Mr. Wagner. Reminder, if you cancelled your trip last minute, then you can not book again. This trip is only for the A Group and Safety Aides.

Huntington Beach Fire Department Junior Lifeguard Program

Hot Dog BBQ

On Friday, July 16, the Huntington Beach Fire Department Junior Lifeguard Program will host the annual Hot Dog BBQ and Junior Lifeguard Picture Day. There is a special schedule with all groups (both AM and PM combined) on Friday, July 16. Please make sure that your junior lifeguard brings the order form for the group/panorama photo along with the payment before July 16. Please have them give the form to their instructor. The group times are as follows: Group “C” 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Group “B” 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Group “A” 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The Hot Dog BBQ 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with buddy pictures taken from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please bring the buddy picture envelope with payment when you have your picture taken. Our pictures are taken by the professional photography company, Mint Photography, (949)233-4118. All Junior Lifeguards are expected to wear their clean Junior Lifeguard uniform to the morning session. Uniforms are not required at the BBQ. This event is a highlight of our summer season with many JG families and City VIPs in attendance. Attendance at the BBQ is not mandatory. In addition, we are asking that each Junior Lifeguard family brings a dessert large enough to feed 12 people. Hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be provided by the HBFD Junior Lifeguard Program. Sand Crab Picture Day

Dear Sand Crab Parents.

The Sand Crabs have their own picture day on Monday July 19, 2021, for AM session 1 and PM session 1. The session times will be the same as a normal day. The picture forms with the prices will be sent home with the Sand Crabs. In an effort to keep a safe learning environment, we will not have lessons on July 16, for the Sand Crab groups. This is a modified day with all the AM and PM Junior Lifeguards only attending the AM session. The Hot Dog BBQ, which begins at 5 p.m., and ends at 8 p.m, is for all JGs and Sand Crabs. Parents and siblings are welcome to come and enjoy a fun-filled evening with us as we play games, have music, and enjoy the hot dogs cooked by the instructors. Parents are asked to bring a dessert that can feed up to 12 people.
